Greater Anglia Trains

We are delighted to announce that Greater Anglia Trains, including Stansted Express, have achieved Friendly WiFi certification, further underscoring their commitment to passenger safety whilst travelling with them.

Greater Anglia has made significant investments in upgrading their WiFi services across their new fleet of trains. Recognising the importance of providing a safe online environment for all passengers, they have taken the additional step of ensuring their WiFi networks are Friendly WiFi certified. This certification shows that the WiFi service on their trains is safe and free from inappropriate content, providing peace of mind for passengers, particularly families and children.

In addition to their trains, Greater Anglia has extended this commitment to their stations, ensuring that the WiFi provided at their various locations is also certified. This comprehensive approach to online safety highlights their dedication to creating a safe and enjoyable travel experience for all their passengers.

Michael Robertson, Greater Anglia’s Finance and IT director, said:

“We are very proud to achieve the Friendly WiFi certification, showing that the Wi-Fi networks across all of our trains and 134 managed stations are safe. It means our customers can browse and enjoy the internet safely and with peace of mind while on their journeys with us.”

Bev Smith, Director of Friendly WiFi added:

“We are thrilled to welcome Greater Anglia and Stansted Express to our family of certified operators. Their proactive approach to online safety sets a strong example for others in the industry. By certifying both their trains and stations, they show a comprehensive commitment to protecting their passengers.”

As another leading train operator joining the ranks of Friendly WiFi certified services, Greater Anglia is setting a commendable standard in the transportation sector. This certification not only enhances the travel experience for their passengers but also reinforces the importance of online safety in public spaces.

Together, we are making online experiences safer for everyone.
